
Apple Pay was rolled out with the iOS 8.1 update and so far it is only the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that can make contactless payments to over 220,000 retail stores. The Apple Watch is to also be included in early 2015. In this post we want to share with you the list of retail stores and Apps that will begin accepting Apple Pay payments now or in the near future.
The list of retail store and apps that currently work with Apple Pay are:

- Aeropostale
- Babies R Us
- BJ�s Wholesale Club
- Bloomingdales
- Champs
- Chevron
- DuaneReade
- Foot Locker (including Lady Footlocker, Run by Footlocker, Kids Footlocker, and House of Hoops)
- FootAction
- Macy�s
- Nike
- Office Depot
- Petco (and Unleashed)
- Radioshack
- Six:02
- Sports Authority
- Texaco
- Toys �R� Us
- Walgreens
The following list of fast food chains will now be accepting Apple Pay payments:
- McDonald�s
- Subway
- Panera Bread
Grocery stores include:
- Wegmans
- Whole Foods Market
Apple Pay also allows you to make purchases via apps on all the latest iOS devices that have Touch ID fingerprint sensors. This includes the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as well as the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. The iPhone 5s doesn't appear to be included in the list of devices though which is a bit of a let down. The apps that should now support Apple Pay include:

- Disney Store

- Groupon
- Hotel Tonight
- Houzz
- Instacart
- Lyft
- MLB.com
- OpenTable
- Panera Bread
- Spring
- Staples
- Target
- Tickets.com
- Uber
There are additional apps that we be getting updated to allow them to support the Apple Pay service. Along with these apps, certain banks are also going to be updating their apps to support Apple Pay and Capital One and Navy Federal Credit Union have already launched their Apple Pay supporting apps.
Apple have also released a list of retailers that will be adding support for Apple Pay later in 2015 and these include:
- Anthropologie
- Disney Store
- Free People
- Petsmart
- Sephora
- Staples
- Urban Outfitters
- Walt Disney World
The list of apps and retailers listed is quite considerable for the launch of Apple Pay and it will only be a matter of time before more retailers and banks join the list.
